Here are a few other trucking blogs I regularly check out.

A Trucker’s Thoughts About Life - Good writing with a few pictures. He’s even getting a little into podcasting.

Ken & Karen McByrd-Bell - A couple of household drivers with a blog, podcast and pictures. Household is very similiar to what we do (sometimes) so I can relate with a lot of the information.

The Truckin’ Blog - A driver’s daily blog about driving around.

Truck Driver Journal Blog Vlog - The only video blogging trucker. The movies are short but very well done. Mostly about what’s going on around him, but all of them are worth the download.

Adventures In Trucking - My favorite trucking blog. Pictures and stories about our personal trucking travels.

Ever since we went to Alaska I’ve always been amazed by the people that live there. Life in Alaska is my favorite Alaskan blog. The author is a little eccentric which makes for interesting reading and he’s got some amazing pictures.

There’s a lot of podcasting going on, but I’m probably not going to get involved. The thing about podcasting is I couldn’t just blurt out what I’m thinking and be happy with it. I prefer to write it down, edit and re-edit. If I read something, it would sound like Iwas reading something. If I did make an attempt at podcasting I would keep it short and at least use notes and not just ramble. I don’t really listen to a lot of the trucking podcasts because it’s about trucking and I’ve done or been there already. To those outside of the industry it can be very interesting.

I just found out that my husband is having an affair with another female driver who works for his company. I’m devastated over this and would like to know. Why would he and her put me at risk for HIV/AIDS. We wives have our own network, and we know that the number of married women who have husbands in this industy are contracting aids.This is from the sexual activities of our husbands while away from home.This is on the rise. We are wives, mothers, sisters,and daughters. Who are suffering from that ol addage what she does not know won’t hurt. This is so untrue. I will not sweep this under the carpet. Many companies have policies in place to prevent this kind of behavior. Law suits are being filed against the company for third party sexual harassment. The company can be fined for as much as $100,000. Aids can be caught by oral contact,a canker sore, a blister a cavity,even a sore thoat. Please be mindful of your women at home. Your 15 second orgasm may be a pleasure to you, but a death sentence to the one who takes care of you at home. I wish that I could give their names and the company that they work for. I can say that the company is in Dorchester WI.

I was wondering if anyone out there had opinions, good or bad on the new EPA friendly trucks being sold - specifically Peterbilt.
