There is such a small ratio of dispatchers to drivers, moving into the office and may not always be a viable path for a lot of drivers. Dispatching would also include being a freight broker agent for someone else or you get your broker’s authority and go out on your own if you have contacts and the salesmanship necessary for gaining new customers.

What would be a viable path? Moving from company driver to owner operator is adding responsibility. Owning more than one truck is even more responsibility.
