There is such a small ratio of dispatchers to drivers, moving into the office and may not always be a viable path for a lot of drivers. Dispatching would also include being a freight broker agent for someone else or you get your broker&#8217;s authority and go out on your own if you have contacts and the salesmanship necessary for gaining new customers.</p>
<p>What would be a viable path? Moving from company driver to owner operator is adding responsibility. Owning more than one truck is even more responsibility.</p>
