Practical vs Short Miles

Just a quick note to remind everyone what a short mile and a practical mile is. A short mile is what most companies pay and is an almost impossible route for a truck to drive.  Drivers drive practical miles and truck companies and brokers pay short miles. Usually about a 10 percent difference.

Intentional Churn

In the March issue of RoadStar editor Steve Sturgess’ column he quotes an industry periodical Real Questions real Answers that says,
“. . .consider the fast food business. Many of these companies actually want high turnover, at least among some of their employees, because it helps keep wages down.”
